PEG-10 rapeseed sterol, also known as PEG-10 phytosterol, is a blend of humectant, texture-enhancing polyethylene glycol (PEG) and the fatty acid component of the rapeseed plant. In cosmetics, PEG-10 rapeseed sterol is used as a cleansing and emulsifying ingredient. Typical use levels of PEG-10 rapeseed sterol in cosmetics are 1–5%, depending on formulary needs.
